More information

What's Included

A structured correction focused on condition and even lift.

  • In-depth consultation and scalp assessment.
  • Colour history mapping to locate bands and previous tint.
  • Strand and elasticity tests if required.
  • Targeted root application to break banding and address hot roots.
  • Controlled lightening through mids and ends only where needed.
  • Bond-building and pH-balancing care during processing.
  • Bespoke toner or glaze to refine shade and neutralise warmth.
  • Precision blow-dry and finish to check tone and clarity.
  • Personalised maintenance plan and home care guidance.

Who It's For

Designed for anyone with overgrown bleach regrowth, yellow bands or patchy areas from previous lightening. It suits those moving from highlights to a more even blonde, or after a DIY mishap that left visible lines. Suitable for most hair types and all genders.

For very sensitised or previously tinted hair, a staged plan may be safer. Your colourist will prioritise hair strength and set realistic outcomes for your starting point.

Duration & Appointment Timing

Allow around 180 minutes for the service. Complex banding, very thick hair or darker starting levels may need extra time or more than one visit. Your colourist will confirm at consultation.

A skin allergy test is required if you are new, or if it has been more than 6 months since your last on-scalp colour or toner. Please arrange this at least 48 hours before your appointment.

Aftercare & Maintenance

Leave the colour undisturbed for 48 hours before washing to help the tone settle. Use gentle, colour-safe shampoo and conditioner, plus a weekly bond treatment to support strength.

Protect your blonde from heat and sun. Always apply heat protection and limit high heat tools.

Refresh toner every 4 to 8 weeks to maintain clarity. Plan scalp bleach regrowth every 4 to 6 weeks to keep the base even. If regrowth exceeds 5 cm, a corrective approach may be needed again.

Would 100% recommend. First time dying my hair in Oxford so was a bit apprehensive at the start, but Sylvain was incredibly professional and passionate about his craft which was very reassuring. He was a keen listener and had great stylistic ideas. Additionally, everyone at the salon was warm and welcoming. The bleaching and colouring took an entire afternoon but it did not feel like it at all — really appreciated the staff asking whether I’d like a coffee or a tea and making an effort to improve customers’ experience. Am very happy with the colour and the end result. Would be very happy to come back.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you fix banding and yellow patches in one visit?
Often, yes. Moderate banding and warmth can be balanced in a single session with controlled lightening and toner. Severe banding or previous dark tint may need staged corrections to protect condition.
Will my hair be damaged?
The process is designed to minimise stress. We lighten only where needed, use bond-building care and adjust timing based on strand and elasticity tests. Your plan will balance lift with hair health.
Do I need a skin allergy test?
Yes. A skin allergy test is required if you are new, or if it has been over 6 months since your last on-scalp colour or toner. It must be completed at least 48 hours before your appointment.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Arrive with dry hair that is free from heavy oils and product build-up. If your scalp is sensitive, avoid washing it on the day. Bring any details of recent colour services to help plan your correction.
How long will results last?
The corrected base remains even, but regrowth appears as hair grows. Most clients refresh roots every 4 to 6 weeks and tone every 4 to 8 weeks to maintain clarity. Your colourist will tailor timings to your hair.
